Sequential memory cell constraint e.g. set up time, evaluating method for standard characterization library characterization file, involves calculating constraint values for signal ramps by adding deviations to set of values of constraint
The method involves fixing a value of a ramp of a signal and varying a ramp of another signal for determining a set of values of a constraint by a dichotomy simulation. The value of the latter ramp is fixed at one of its values and the value of the former ramp is varied for determining, for each value of the former ramp, a deviation with respect to the value of the constraint belonging to the set of values and corresponding to the fixed value of the latter ramp. Values of the constraint are calculated for all values of the two ramps by adding the determined deviations to the set of values. An independent claim is also included for a calculation unit such as a computer, including a system for evaluating a constraint of a sequential cell.
