The transponder has an upper surface and an LED arranged at the upper surface. An antenna is attached to the transponder using a connecting cable. The connecting cable is detachably attached via a plug-in connection. The LED emits visible light and/or invisible infrared light and/or invisible ultraviolet light and/or invisible pulsed light.
