Independent claims are included for: (1) a kit for the characterization of Salmonella isolate, comprising a carrier and one or more nucleic acid molecules that are complementary to the nucleic acid molecules present on the carrier; and (2) a nucleic acid molecule comprising one of 376 fully defined 38-63 nucleic acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 1-376) as given in the specification, or a nucleic acid molecule with a sequence, that is complementary to the sequence of (SEQ ID NO: 1-376).
