Diffusion tensor coefficients` determining method, involves determining updated diffusion intermediate data, and coefficients of diffusion tensor from determined intermediate data after multiple updating with different diffusion codings
The method involves producing diffusion intermediate data from diffusion data measured with a diffusion coding for each of multiple volume units of the object. An updated diffusion intermediate data for each volume unit is determined from the produced diffusion intermediate data and from the updated diffusion data measured with another diffusion coding. Coefficients of a diffusion tensor (14) are determined from the lastly determined updated data after several updating with different diffusion codings. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of determining coefficients of a diffusion tensor by magnetic resonance.
