Pedestrian protection testing facility e.g. for simulating collisions between pedestrians and motor vehicles, has impact bodies such as body models which are shot with pre-defined speed at defined points of impact
The pedestrian protection testing facility has impact bodies (5) such as body models which are shot with a pre-defined speed at defined points of impact. A positioning system is provided (2) having an arrangement (11) provided as an opening for an impact cylinder (3). The cylinder is within range of the piston rod (9) having an element (10) to the admission of the impact bodies. A recoil compensation device (17, 18) is provided. The impact cylinder is parallel to the firing direction (4) and adjustably stored.
