A navigation service method using voice data in the WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)-based wireless Internet is provided to offer navigation information, which is provided in real time through the WAP-based wireless Internet, to a user in the form of a voice file so that the user can conveniently use a navigation service while driving, without installing a navigator. If a user accesses the wireless Internet through a WAP device and inputs a departure point and a destination. The WAP device transmits the inputted information to a navigation server through a WAP gateway(S101). If information on the optimum path to the destination from the departure point is inputted from the navigation server, the WAP device displays the optimum path for the user by using a text and an image(S102). The WAP device confirms whether the user selects a voice file conversion menu(S103). If the user selects the voice file conversion menu, the WAP device transmits a voice file conversion request signal to the navigation server through the WAP gateway(S104). The WAP device downloads a voice file about the optimum path from the navigation server and stores it in its internal memory(S105). The WAP device confirms whether the user selects a voice guidance menu(S106). If the user selects a voice guidance menu, the WAP device regenerates the downloaded voice file and provides a navigation service to the user by voice(S107).
