PURPOSE: A kit for detection of hybrid aminoglycoside with -hydroxy--aminobutyryl moiety or -hydroxy--aminobutyryl propionyl moiety and a method for selection of a transformed microorganism to produce the same hybrid aminoglycoside are provided, thereby rapidly and easily selecting the recombinant microorganism using a small amount of the cultured medium, and inducing production of novel antibiotics. CONSTITUTION: The kit for detection of hybrid aminoglycoside antibiotics with -hydroxy--aminobutyryl moiety or -hydroxy--aminobutyryl propionyl moiety comprises Bacillus subtilis(ATCC 6633) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(ATCC 27853), wherein the antibiotics is selected from amikacin, arbekacin, isepamicin and butyrosin. The method for selection of a transformed microorganism to produce the hybrid aminoglycoside with -hydroxy--aminobutyryl moiety or -hydroxy--aminobutyryl propionyl moiety comprises is characterized by using the kit comprising Bacillus subtilis(ATCC 6633) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(ATCC 27853).
