A method for controlling water erosion of the soils on slopes, while carrying out land clearing, includes uprooting trees and/or brushes, selecting economic wood, drying root and branchy remains, forming heaps therefrom and utilizing thereof by means of burning. The heaps from root and branchy remains are formed across a slope. After burning thereof, hydraulic engineering erosion-control structures arranged in the direction close to the horizontal lines of the locality, at the calculated distance from each other, are formed from the root remains and the upper soil layer.
