PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide marsh for growing ditch reeds where the ditch reeds can be grown suitably. PSOLUTION: The marsh for growing ditch reeds is obtained by adjusting the depth of a ground water level, submergence, salinity in pore water contained in soil, ignition loss of soil, soil depth and the soil particle diameter so as to be suitable for growing ditch reeds. It is preferable that the depth of the ground water level is 0cm but 37cm, the submergence is 0cm but 140cm, the salinity in pore water contained in the soil is 0PSU but 25PSU, the ignition loss of soil is 0% but 60%, the soil depth is 50cm, and the soil particle diameter is 0mm but 5.0mm.
