The method involves lighting bottom of a housing (2) constituting an annular support zone for a valve seat (1), and acquiring and processing an image. Space value between the housing bottom and a lower support side of the seat is measured, by using a variable resulting from calibration. The steps are carried out after introducing a terminal in the housing, and are repeated over 360 degrees that constitutes annular support of the seat. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a valve seat assembling controlling method.
