The scale has a load surface (2), and a removable operating unit (5) is coupled with the load surface. A measuring device for measuring pulse is coupled with the load surface. A display unit e.g. liquid crystal display, is provided for displaying the measured pulse and weight. Measuring devices are also provided for measuring breathing air composition, blood pressure and oxygen content of the blood.
