Connection circuit for electrically connecting solar cell array, has protection device attached to array and comprising bypass diode and thermal switching unit, which is charged with heat lost from diode and designed as bimetal switch
The circuit has a parallely connected protection device attached to a solar cell array having solar cells (1, 2-n) and comprising a bypass diode (3) and a thermal switching unit (4). The switching unit is connected parallel to the diode and charged with a heat lost from the bypass diode, where the switching unit is designed as a bimetal switch. The diode and the switching unit are arranged in such a manner that a direct thermal coupling is achieved between the diode and the switching unit, where the switching unit has a switching hysteresis.
