The climbing wall has two separate climbing segments. An upper climbing segment is supported and fixed at a wall and a lower climbing segment is vertically shiftably arranged so that it can be moved relative between a custom position and a resting position. The segments (1, 2) are connected by two swivel arms (4). A side (11) is arranged and supported at a right angle to a climbing surface (5) of the segments. Each swivel arm is tiltable around a bearing point at the side of the upper climbing segment.
