The use of a copper-zinc alloy (A) is claimed as a slide bearing material, where (A) contains (by weight) 59-73% copper (Cu), 2.7-8.5% manganese (Mn), 1.5-6.3% aluminum (Al), 0.2-4% silicon (Si), 0.2-3% iron (Fe), 0-2% lead (Pb), 0-2% nickel (Ni), 0-0.4% tin (Sn) and zinc (Zn) (plus unavoidable impurities) to 100%.
