Steering method for increasing driving stability of vehicle while driving on a curve, involves monitoring understeering condition and transmission ratio, and changing transmission ratio with increasing amount of steering angle
The method involves monitoring understeering condition and transmission ratio between the steering angle and the wheel angle, and changing the transmission ratio with the increasing amount of steering angle. The change in transmission ratio is limited to a preset maximum value. Steering movement is performed according to a continuously calculated wheel angle. An independent claim is also included for the steering device.
