Electronic search query processing method for use in search engine e.g. Google, involves determining index for segmented information units, allocating search term to semantic block and searching indices of information units based on term
The method involves generating a search domain having segmented information units, and determining an index for each segmented information unit. An electronic search query is generated by selecting a search term and the term is allocated to a predetermined semantic block. An electronic search is executed in the search domain using the search term, where the indices of the information units are searched according to the search term. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a computer program product with a program code unit stored in a machine readable medium for executing a method of processing an electronic search query, when executed in a computer (B) an search engine for processing an electronic search query.
