In an interactive display interface, is implemented to highlighting all items in any set of which includes a plurality of entries, wherein each entry in the set is within a selected distance of said access point. That is, the point of the pointer or cursor may be considered to be surrounded by a halo round (circular halo) having a radius of the selected distance. The user moves the cursor in a standard manner. If, however, according to the icon on which the cursor is approaching movement is in a close spacing, one or more, that is, a plurality of icons may be within the halo, all the icons in the plurality of icons are highlighting in order to give a more clear option to the user do. The highlighting the icon highlighting the respective ends to move to the outside of the distance or halo radius of the pointer is the selection. It is also implemented highlighting each icon in the set instead of sequentially highlighting the icons at the same time. This is particularly useful when the icons are stacked or nested.
