PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the color developer stable for a long time and easily and rapidly preparable when it is needed to use it by incorporating an aromatic primary amine color developing agent and a specified compound and a specified alkali agent. ;SOLUTION: The developer comprises the aromatic primary amine color developing agent in a concentration of ≥0.08mol/l and the compound expressed by the formula in a concentration of ≥0.13mol/l and the alkali agent in a pH of ≥13. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is an optionally substituted alkyl group. The aromatic primary amine color developer is embodied by 4-amino-3- methyl-N-diethylaniline-hydrochloric acid salt and 4-amino-N-ethlhyl-N-(β- hydroxyethyl)-hydrochloric acid salt and the like. The alkali agent having a pH of ≥13 is embodied by potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, trisodium phosphate and the like, thus permitting the obtained color developer to be stable for a long time and prepared easily and rapidly, when it is needed to use it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
