PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that diseases such as Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, etc., exist in a pig farming industry, various kinds of vaccines are required to healthily breed pigs, however, stress is imposed on pigs by a vaccine injection itself so that in order to alleviate the stress, development of a vaccine capable of decreasing the number of times of vaccine injections and immunizing pigs against several kinds of diseases by one vaccine injection is desired.;SOLUTION: This swine Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae YS-19 strain expresses a part of P97 adhesin being an adhesive protein on the surface of a microbial cell of detoxicated swine Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. This method for immunization comprises preparing a protein and a gene cassette and administering a microbial cell of the YS-19 strain to an animal. This method for immunization comprises preparing a gene cassette from which a part of a gene encoding a surface antigen of swine Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae and to which a part of P97 adhesin gene of the Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae is inserted, a protein and swine Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae and administering the protein to an animal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
