The device has a linear motor (6) that opens or closes a door (7) of a vehicle. A converter (2) that amplifies voltage of a DC power source (1), supplies voltage to an inverter (5) and simultaneously regenerates electrical power supplied through the inverter during deceleration of the motor in the source. A driving control part (10) controls the operation of the converter and inverter based on opening/closing instruction.
