Device for avoiding creases when leafing through newspapers includes embossing element on printing machine embossing continuous swage into paper in area of subsequent folds
The device is provided on a rotary printing machine on which the paper (5) is printed, folded and cut and has an embossing element (8) for embossing a continuous swage (12) into the paper in the area of subsequent folds. The embossing element can be a revolving embossing disc (8) which acts on the paper in its running direction (6) and which has around its perimeter a circular collar which stamps into the paper.
