A large-scale vehicle for passenger transport, in particular a rail vehicle, has car bodies (6, 7) coupled by articulated joints, of which at least two car bodies (6) are each supported on a bogie or chassis. All articulated joints allow turning movements of the car bodies (6, 7) around the vertical axis when cornering. In a vehicle with more than three parts, at least one articulated connection is designed in such a way that the vehicle can execute pitching movements about the transverse axis in the event of trough or uphill travel. One of the articulated joints has a connecting element (2), which is designed and connected to two car bodies (6, 7) such that pivoting and rolling movements about the vehicle's longitudinal axis are made possible.
