Locking arrangement for door or gate has latch on narrow gate leaf engaging socket in edge of broad gate leaf and additional latch is provided at bottom engaging fitting on ground
The gate has two gateposts (5) with hinges (4) carrying a broad (2) and a narrow (3) swinging gate leaf. There may be a mechanical drive (11) for the broad leaf. The narrow leaf has a handle (7) on either side working a lock (6) with a bolt. The bolt engages in a recess in the edge of the broad gate leaf. A guide member (12) for the end of the bolt is fastened to the edge of the broad leaf. A fitting in the ground (14) is engaged by an additional spring-loaded bolt on the bottom edge of the narrow gate leaf.
