Figure reference determination method for determination of figure references to be inserted into the claims in intellectual property applications, where no references have been inserted in the original claim text
Method in which the whole intellectual property (IP) application is loaded into a computer and at least one program loaded in the computer accesses the application in order search through it and detect characteristics typical of a main claim, description and other parts of the IP application. Matching terms in the disclosure and the main claim are then found and reference figures allocated accordingly to the main claim. The method can be extended to subsidiary claims.
