The method for producing textile material consolidated by a fluid jet process involves controlled alteration of the shape/direction of parts of the material largely in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the material before the fluid jet process is applied. Such an alteration takes place by application of force pulses to the material. An independent claim is also included for a textile material produced by the proposed method.
