PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device using a permanent magnet is provided to absorb shock force such as impulse generated in using a running machine by proper combination of repulsive and attractive force between the permanent magnets changed due to relative motion of the magnets, to minimize transmission of the shock toward the floor, and to cut down the cost with a simple mechanism using only repulsive and attractive force of the magnets. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device(100) using a permanent magnet is composed of a lower case(105) of which an upper part is opened; at least one first magnet(131) combined in the lower case; an upper case facing the lower case; at least one second magnet(132) combined in the upper case; a hollow combining member(115) joined in the lower and upper cases to connect the lower and upper cases to each other; at least one third magnet(133) joined to the inner peripheral surface of the combining member; a movable member(120) installed to move vertically in a space formed by the lower and upper cases; at least one fourth magnet(134) combined to one side of the movable member; and at least one fifth magnet(135) joined to the other side of the movable member.
