PURPOSE: A posture measurement system of a non-contact typed triaxial simulator is provided to obtain the exact position and posture information by precisely measuring the position and the posture of the triaxial simulator. CONSTITUTION: A posture measurement system contains an air bearing system, a coordinate plate(60), a camera(70) and a computer(80). The air bearing system comprises air-lift typed air bearing balls(20), a simulator(10) connected with rotation shafts(30) of the air bearing balls and a simulator support(50) to include three laser pointers(40). The coordinate plate is installed in the same direction as the rotation shafts outside the air bearing system. The camera photographs an image of the laser pointer on the coordinate plate by installing outside the air bearing system. The computer calculates the position and the posture of the simulator by using the image information from the camera.
