The tester has a carriage (1) coupled to two hydraulic cylinders (2). A hydraulic control unit (4) controls the operation of a hydraulic press. A servo valve (5) is connected to the hydraulic cylinders, where the servo valve is connected to a high pressure accumulator (6). Another hydraulic control unit controls the servo valve, where the latter hydraulic control unit is connected to the former hydraulic control unit.
