The method for the intensive treatment of schizophrenia with the continuous course and suicidal behavior comprises the use of Clopixol with accompanying electrically induced sleep. The daily oral dose of Clopixol increases within the week by 10.0-25.0 mg daily from the medium to the high dose of 150.0 mg a day. The sleep is induced in 4 hours after the morning dose of Clopixol is taken. The electrodes are mounted near the eyes and behind the ears. In the course of the treatment, the current is augmented from 15 to 20 mA, the pulse frequency û from 5 to 120 Hz, the pulse duration û from 0.2 to 0.5 ms, the duration of the procedure û from 20 to 90 min. The overall course of the treatment comprises 17 daily sessions.
