The invention concerns the field of producing mineral fertilizers. A device for producing solution of ammonium nitrate contains a cylindrical body with bottom and fittings for withdrawing solution, measuring level and pressure, a cover with nipple for withdrawing liquor-tanned vapor. Inside the body at certain distance of the bottom a neutralization unit is mounted, and which unit contains two cups disposed concentrically, which are connected between them by two rows of openings, in the internal cup below near the bottom of external cup and above near connecting flange of the internal cup. Above, in the internal cup there is disposed tubular reactor made in the form of ejector with nipples for supplying nitric acid and gaseous ammonium. The body of reactor has orifices for inlet of solution into the mixing chamber of reactor. Separate funnel is disposed without gap to the lower flange connection of reactor and fixed in the internal cup. The unit for evaporation of solution contains two blind discs with overflow boards installed one above another between the body of mechanism and external cup so that the overflow board of the upper disc is disposed near the mechanism body and at the level of axes of upper orifices in the internal cup, and overflow board of lower dish is disposed near the external cup. A process for producing ammonium nitrate solution is performed in the above mentioned mechanism. The process involves neutralization of nitric acid with gaseous ammonium at the pressure of 0.3-0.4 MPa and temperature of 130-140 DEGREE C in the flow with ammonium nitrate solution by inner forced circulation of the mentioned solution, evaporation of solution due to neutralization heat, at that evaporation of solution is conducted in parallel to neutralization. The invention provides reducing steel intensity, simplification of circuit in hardware implementation and increasing the safety in operation.
