PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial cultivation method of Lyophylum decastes by which the Lyophylum shimeji is stably produced at a uniform harvesting time in an increased yield while reducing the contamination of a medium by various bacteria by using oyster shells as a medium material. PSOLUTION: The artificial cultivation method comprises adding the pulverized oyster shells to a medium in which carpophores can be allowed to emerge when myceliums of the Lyophylum shimeji are inoculatd, and the myceliums of the Lyophylum shimeji are cultured in a state wetted by water, mixing the resultant mixture, and regulating the pH within a range not exceeding 7. The medium is a mixed medium containing the pulverized oyster shells, a corn powder (a pulverized product of the seeds or a bran formed at a processing process thereof), and sawdust of a broad-leaved tree regulated so that the content of the corn powder is ≥10 vol.%, and the water content is 50-80 wt.% so as to be a water-wetted state.
