Method for measuring activation of effector cells (EC) of the immune system, optionally transformed, by a mono- or poly-clonal antibody (Ab) comprises contacting the cells that express the CD16 receptor with Ab and its cognate antigen (Ag), then measuring the amount of at least one cytokine (I) produced by EC. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) same method for evaluating the effect of Ab; (2) same method for evaluating capacity of cells to produce effective Ab; and (3) same method for evaluating effect and integrity of polyclonal Ab after one or more purification steps.
