Arrangement for controlling motor vehicle headlamp illumination width has controller that determines control parameter from difference between vehicle's and road's inclinations relative to horizon
The arrangement has a sensor device for determining the current vehicle inclination, a controller for computing a control parameter from the inclination and a final control device for adjusting the illumination width according to the control parameter. The sensor device determines inclination relative to the horizon. The controller determines the control parameter from the difference between vehicle and road inclinations relative to the horizon. The arrangement has a sensor device (110) for determining the current motor vehicle inclination, a controller (130) for computing a control parameter using the inclination magnitude, and a final control device (140) for adjusting the illumination width in accordance with the control parameter. The sensor device determines inclination relative to the horizon and the controller determines the control parameter from the difference between the vehicle's and road's inclinations relative to the horizon. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a vehicle with at least one headlamp and at least one inventive arrangement; and (b) a data medium with a computer program for controlling a headlamp's illumination width.
