Preparation of biocomplex-reaction pattern in vertebrate cells components, useful for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of e.g. viral infections, includes purification with specific antibodies
Method for producing a preparation (A) containing BK-RiV components (I), in highly purified form and of any size, from primary vertebrate cell cultures, of limited or unlimited growth (BK-RiV = biocomplex-reaction pattern in vertebrate cells). Method for producing a preparation (A) containing BK-RiV components (I), in highly purified form and of any size, from primary vertebrate cell cultures, of limited or unlimited growth (BK-RiV = biocomplex-reaction pattern in vertebrate cells) comprises: (1) subjecting cells or cultures to a stress (or already stressed cells are used); (2) contact with a specific polyclonal antibody mixture (AKG) specific for BK-RiV; and (3) isolating, purifying and concentrating (I) by affinity separation, using AKG, from the stressed and lysed cells or culture. An independent claim is also included for preparation of AKG by immunizing vertebrates with at least one BK-RiV particle preparation (X), prepared by known methods, then administering an immunization cocktail that contains (X) in the form of dissociated subunits, where the immunization may be repeated many times to achieve a booster effect, and then AKG is isolated and purified. ACTIVITY : Antiinflammatory; Cytostatic; Virucide; Immunomodulator; Anti-HIV; Hepatotropic; Antipsoriatic; Analgesic. No details of tests for these activities are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
