The device has an acquisition unit worn on the user's head with a sensor device for detecting eye movements and an evaluation unit that produces control signals for a control drive acting on the acquisition unit to move an acquired image section. The evaluation unit analyzes pitch, yaw and roll eye movements and produces control signals from them that cause the drive to move the acquired image section so as to follow the eye movements. The device has an acquisition unit (12) for wearing on the user's head with a sensor arrangement (5-7) for detecting user eye (8) movements and an evaluation unit (9) that produces control signals for a control drive acting on the acquisition unit to move an image section acquired by the unit. The sensor device detects pitch, yaw and roll motions of the user's eye. The evaluation unit analyzes the eye movements and produces control signals (10) from them that cause the drive to move the acquired image section so as to follow the eye movements.
