The cutter for trimming a tree branch (11) may have a water tank (3) and a high-pressure air tank (2). There is a trigger to control the flow of water. The water flows through a high-pressure hose (18) with an electronic valve (5). The water line may be divided into two channels which taper to produce high-velocity jets (6). The jets issue from nozzles (1) above and below a temperature sensor (4) in a shield plate.
