FIELD: microbiology, ecology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preparing streptomycin-resistant variants of anthrax pathogen. Method involves stratifying membrane filters on surface of solid nutrient medium. Breeding streptomycin-resistant strain of B. anthracis with M. xanthus is carried out by mixing cell biomass of these microorganisms and seeding this mixture on surface of membrane filters stratified on surface of nutrient medium. Separate seeding of biomass B. anthracis and M. xanthus is used as control. Seeding is incubated in thermostat at 35 C for 24 h. Then replication (fingerprints) of grown populations is carried out in selective medium containing streptomycin in the concentration 100 mcg/ml and incubated colony fingerprints at 35 C for 48-72 h.
