PURPOSE: A BOD and COD prediction system of the wastewater treatment plant effluent using a suspended solid meter and software sensor technology is provided, thereby cheaply on-line monitoring the BOD and COD of the wastewater. CONSTITUTION: A BOD and COD prediction system of the wastewater treatment plant effluent using a suspended solid meter and software sensor technology comprises water quality analyzers(103, 104) detecting the concentration and temperature of suspended solids in a reaction vessel(100) and a releasing water storing vessel(101); and a controller(102) which predicts BOD and COD of the releasing water using signals from the water quality analyzers(103, 104), and transfer control signal, alarm signal and operation data to a computer(105) in the wastewater treatment plant and distal plant through internet(106).
