PURPOSE: An electroluminescence display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase adhesive force of a drier layer to a sealing glass substrate, by performing a rough surface treatment such that convex-concave portions are formed at the surface of the sealing glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: An electroluminescence display device comprises a device glass substrate(200) having a surface on which an electroluminescence element is arranged; a sealing glass substrate(100) bonded with the device glass substrate; and a drier layer(105) disposed on the surface of the sealing glass substrate. The drier layer is disposed on the surface of the sealing glass substrate which is rough surface treated such that convex-concave portions are formed at the surface of the sealing glass substrate.
