PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for evaluating abnormality and safety of the whole structure by detecting and monitoring a degree of damage by installing one acoustic emission (AE) sensor for each place of a measuring place, and the AE sensor optimal for the system by integrating a vibrator and an electronic part for processing and preserving measuring data and communicating with an external part.;SOLUTION: This invention is an abnormality detecting system having (1) the AE sensor installed in response to the predicted crack occurrence of the structure or with every progress position, primarily processing an AE signal detected by a composite probe, preserving primary processing data and communicating with the external part, (2) an intermediate processing part for requesting and receiving output of primary processing data to the AE sensor and secondarily processing the received primary processing data and (3) a central processing part for discriminating soundness of the structure on the basis of secondary processing data secondarily processed by the intermediate processing part, making data on indication of postprocessing on the basis of a discriminating result and transmitting capturing data effective in processing the measuring data in the intermediate processing part to the intermediate processing part when necessary.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
