PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a toner feed roller cleaning mechanism that efficiently cleans carved pattern grooves on the surface of a toner feed roller, and to provide a technique for realizing a control method in which the cleaning of the toner feed roller is periodically performed.;SOLUTION: A liquid development electrophotographic device is provided with the mechanism for cleaning the toner feed roller (roller). This cleaning mechanism is designed to clean the roller mounted in the development mechanism by applying a bias voltage to the roller and separating toner particles remaining in the carved pattern grooves on the surface of the roller.
