PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reactivity control equipment of a nuclear reactor and decay heat removal equipment capable of controlling reactivity over a wide range only by a core flow rate change, having a simple structure, and dispensing with a connection pipe to a pressure boundary of a reactor vessel. PSOLUTION: Neutron absorbing balls different in the density, the quality of material, the size and the number or metal rods including the neutron absorber are floated or dropped by the core flow rate change in a guide pipe having different upper and lower passage shapes, or a control vessel having the outside face covered with the neutron absorber is arranged on a peripheral part of the core and pure water is stored or discharged, or a cooling duct is provided on the top part of the reactor vessel to thereby introduce pool water or tank water.
