Method has the following steps: generation of risk profiles in conjunction with parameters relating to the type of illness, acquisition of statistical data for each parameter, transfer of the statistical data into a database, linking the database to practice software to obtain individual patient data, automatic calculation of a risk profile for each patient, comparison of patient data with statistical averages and output or printing out of the calculation for the treating medical practice.
