摘要
PURPOSE: A method for removing hard to remove COD components from flue gas desulfurization wastewater using palladium based bimetal is provided, which is characterized in that after COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) components are adsorbed in bimetal, the COD components are reduced by hydrogen ion present in flue gas desulfurization wastewater, and then limestone is added to precipitate the COD components in the form of calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO42H2O). CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of allowing palladium based bimetal to contact with nitrate ion present in flue gas desulfurization wastewater so that nitrate ion is adsorbed in the palladium based bimetal; reducing nitrate ion into nitrite ion by active hydrogen ion present in the flue gas desulfurization wastewater; causing reaction between nitrite ion and non degradable COD components to degrade the COD components to intermediate materials such as N2O, sulfuric acid and sulfate; and allowing palladium based bimetal to contact with N2O so that N2O is adsorbed in the palladium based bimetal again, thus reduced into nitrogen molecule by active hydrogen ion present in the flue gas desulfurization wastewater.
