The installation is for guiding autonomously moving vehicles and comprises a transport road (1,3,4,5) for vehicles with devices for guiding vehicles in at least one direction (P1). The guide devices are provided with signal producers (6) for activation of at least one vehicle guiding signal. This signal is so produced that it can be observed by the drivers of the vehicles. The signal producers move signals parallel to the transport track surface in a direction parallel to that of movement of the vehicles. Devices (8) are incorporated for the detection of individual vehicles, which are connected to control units. The signal movement speed is adjustable within the range of the possible movement speed of the vehicles.
