PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting the lowering of the pneumatic pressure of a tire capable of increasing the accuracy of detection of a reduction in pressure of the tire.;SOLUTION: This method of detecting the lowering of the internal pressure of the tire based on the information on rotation obtained from the tire installed on a vehicle comprises the steps of calculating the turning radius of the vehicle from the information on rotation of the tire, calculating the traveling route of the vehicle from the information on rotation of the tire and the turning radius, calculating the information on route for a traveling course obtained from the information on terrain in which the vehicle travels, comparing the information on route for the traveling route and the traveling course, and determining the tendency of lowering of the pneumatic pressure of the tire based on the comparison.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
