PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell cultured in a serum-free medium in an ALPS medium system as a simply usable animal culture cell, and to provide an established animal cell culturable in the serum-free medium, a method for producing the cell, a method for culturing the cell, a method for preserving the cell, a kit for culturing cells including the cell, and the like.;SOLUTION: This cell is the established fish cell culturable in the serum-free medium, specifically, the established fish cell culturable in the serum-free medium containing a lactalbumin hydrolyzate, concretely, CHLS cell derived from a chinook salmon of Salmonidae. The method for producing the cell, the method for culturing the cell, the method for preserving the cell, the culture liquid for culturing the cell, the kit for culturing the cells including the cell, the method for proliferating a virus using the cell, a method for evaluating a specimen, a method for transforming the cell by a foreign gene, a transformant formed thereby, and a teaching aid comprising the kit for culturing the cell are also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
