Optical surface polishing tool comprises rigid support with first compressible layer covering support surface and polishing layer covering part of first layer and second opposite polishing surface for polishing optical surface
The polishing tool (1) of an optical surface (2) of a lens (3) comprises a rigid support (5) with a support surface (6). A first compressible elastic material layer (7) covers a part of the support surface. The support surface has a first surface (8) adhering to the support surface and a second opposite surface (9). A second polishing layer (10) covers a part of the first layer and comprises a first surface (11) adhering to the second surface of the first layer. A second polishing surface (12), opposite the first, is able to polish the optical surface by rubbing against it. An Independent claim is included for a method of polishing a lens.
