By opening the box only at particular permitted times of the day, corresponding to the number of cigarettes permitted in a given day, the device helps a smoker to gradually reduce his/her daily cigarette consumption, until the time he/she quits smoking. The device includes a box containing the daily consumption of cigarettes, with a display which counts against the time elapsed between smoking two cigarettes. There is a clock, a screen and a time regulator from the first and the last smoking of cigarettes in a day. There is a display for the daily consumption of cigarette, the electronic system daily subtracts, all throughout the week, the cigarette consumption rate from the permitted amount in a particular day, right up to zero, which corresponds to the moment, at the end of the day, when the smoker stops smoking, and determining for each week, the interval of time between two consecutive smoking of the cigarette and thereby controlling the opening of the box.
