The flagpole consists of a hollow mast (4) containing a tube (2) connected to an air compressor (1) at the bottom and a housing (3) at the top with two rows of outlets (5) to keep the flag (6) flying when there is insufficient natural wind. The mast is set at the proper angle to the wind by a wind vane (11) connected to an electric motor (10), and a halogen lamp illuminating the flag is controlled by a photoelectric cell (27).
